Dear friends, family, neighbors, colleagues, viewers, readers and supporters,
I spent most of 2008 on the Presidential campaign trail working as a freelance reporter and political analyst. It was one of the most interesting elections in our nation’s history.
Many of you followed my daily blogs at www.MarkCurtisMedia. com and I truly appreciate your daily visits and many comments. Along the way, I decided this would make an interesting book. I am thrilled to report my book will be available for purchase online from Nimble Books, as of Inauguration Day, January 20, 2009.
The book is entitled:
“Age of Obama: A Reporter’s Journey with Clinton, McCain and Obama in the Making of the President 2008”
It chronicles my visits to over thirty states, as I followed the candidates from Iowa and New Hampshire in January; to the end of the primary campaign in South Dakota and Montana in June; then onto the conventions in Denver and St. Paul in late summer.
It’s not just the story of the candidates and campaigns, but the story of many average American voters I met and interviewed in bars, restaurants, shops, at political rallies and on Main St. in many towns across our great nation. It’s about their hopes and dreams for America!
There are many funny stories, anecdotes and keen insights along the way including:
-my first meeting with Sen. John McCain;
-the real reasons Barack Obama won this historic election;
-and, how American political campaigns and journalism were forever changed this year.
“Age of Obama: A Reporter’s Journey with Clinton, McCain and Obama in the Making of the President 2008” is available for purchase right now by clicking on the following links: www.nimblebooks.com or www.Amazon.com
It was a great “road trip!” I hope you have as much fun reading it, as I had writing it!
Sincerely,
Mark
