There are numerous diagrams throughout the book to explain the verbiage for each of the five basic lines which are:
Life line
Love line
Work lines
Reproduction
Bracelets.

Many symbols are also discussed with illustrations.

This is a simple, easy to use book that anyone can learn palmistry from with no prompting from anyone. On Page 25 there is a blank palm drawn in the book. As a person learns each area they can write their own lines on this palm. Once a person knows how to read palms and understands their own, it is time to venture out and practice on others.

Palmistry is like the piano; practice, practice, practice.

THE HISTORY OF PALMISTRY
There are in existence today, numerous types of palmistry. Most of them are fortune telling and two are “REAL”. The modality I use when conducting a palm reading is Asian or Oriental Palmistry. It is the second most authentic in the world today. Hindu Indian dates back to 2000 BC while this one began in 3000 BC. Caesar used it before he made any decisions along with others in history.

Palmistry originated in India in the pre-Vedic era then migrated throughout ancient East to Asia Minor and into Europe around the time of Alexander the Great. Gypsies trace their palmistry traditions back to ancient India. During Cave times, an imprint of the human hand on the walls of caves stood for man. It was a sign of self, and their portrait. The Greek civilization considered the most intellectual in the world is where hand reading or Cheiromancy began. The word Xelo translates to the “the hand”.

The first known book printed on palmistry was “Die Kunst Ciromantia”, in 1475 in Austria. Adolphe Desbarroles, a portrait painter from Paris, France, was called the father of modern palmistry and claimed the use of too much clairvoyance made a palmist less accurate in the reading of the hand. He felt concentration on the palm was best and believed that our hands gave clues to one’s personality and character. He said, “Reading hands is a useful aid in to the study of human nature.” Desbarroles founded the Chirological Society and produced a journal, “The Palmist”.

Aristotle wrote a book on physiognomy, the study of the shape, color and texture of human hands. In his book, “De Historia Animalium”, he discussed the lines on palms and their meanings. It was in the Middle Ages that palmistry grew in popularity due to gypsy fortune-tellers. As they moved from country to country the art of hand reading was transferred from one area to another.

Paracelsus, a physician who lived in the 16th century became enthralled with palmistry and ranked it high among the sciences. He named hand reading the mother of the arts and believed the hand revealed everything going on in the human body. This idea was approximate to the concept in India concerning the study of hand reading. From 1650 to1730 Chirology was included in the University curriculum in Germany.

An American palmist, William G. Benham wrote “The Laws of Scientific Hand Reading” and approached the subject of palmistry as a lover of logic.

Cheiro, (Count Louis Haman) was the first to separate palmistry from the realm of fortune telling and to explain it as a science. He gave the medium credibility and respect. In his studies he traced palmistry back to the Hindu and Greek civilizations. He analyzed the shapes of both the hand and fingers, which is referred to as Cheirognomy. The study of the lines on a palm is referred to Cheiromancy.

In the early 1900’s Noel Jaquin founded the Society for the Study of Physiological Patterns and published the results of heavy investigation into the meanings of the papillary patterns, (dermaloglyphics) of the palm.
Since the late 1960’s American physicians have concluded the study of the skin ridge patterns on a palm reveals invaluable medical information about their patients regarding heredity and the heart.

In 1986, Andrew De Salvo wrote, “To be able to read the hand is to be able to read the book of nature. There is no study more arduous, there is none more fascinating or that will repay the time and labor spent upon it with more interest.”

THE BENEFITS OF PALMISTRY
A benefit of Palmistry is in being in touch with one’s higher self, to connect to one’s sacred self. Lines on a hand are the indicators of the major influences and movements in life. In Palmistry the hand is the mirror of the soul. Your task in life is to discover who you are and be just that. Travel via palmistry; journey into yourself to discover self-empowerment.

Palmistry addresses the following issues:
1. Relationships
2. Emotional turmoil
3. Recurring dreams
4. Future goals
5. Finding one’s spiritual path
6. To deepen life to a new level of meaning
7. To build the life one wants
8. To create the work that gives one’s heart “joy”

Our lives are in constant motion like a river or a stream; the passage of time is endured by all. Every moment of life is recorded on the human palm. There are five basic areas that appear on every human hand. They are: Life line, Love line, Work line, Reproduction and the Bracelets. Numerous variations of those five basic areas can be comprehended and detected by a palm reader. The interpretation of these lines can expose, reveal, uncover and allow discovery of one’s existence.

Everyone reaches a time when decisions must be made, solutions found to problems, dilemma’s faced and worked out. It is the timing one chooses that is crucial in taking the path in the right direction at the right time in love, work and play that is important.

By using Palmistry one can discover old patterns and let them go so the new adventures in life can be experienced. Growth occurs through inner self-guidance. When one is ready for the suffering to end, a quiet, new mindset is the healer within. Everyone longs for happiness, the call “home”. We learn to harness the unlimited powers of insight, creativity and spirituality, allowing the changing of a mind to move in both positive and negative ways, willing and allowing our emotions to work.

Every single line and symbol found in a hand can be analyzed. Hands are the servants of the human system; all things that affect the system affect them too. Hands are the immediate servants of the brain. The human hand can express with gesture, ask, invoke, promise, dismiss, threaten, embrace, express fear, show pity, joy and grief.

Individuals learn to minimize weaknesses and take advantages of strengths.

In every Oriental palm reading session I conduct a certain protocol is followed. I analyze the individual’s handwriting without looking at it, but by picking up the energy level of that person. Next a quick medical check of the individual is carried out, and then an intelligence test is given. These all take only a few minutes. Finally, I look at the fingers, hand and palm and finally, I read the person.

Everyone possesses some degree of psychic ability. An individual can train, enlighten and strengthen their natural intuition.

Everything that can be seen in a hand can be analyzed. Hands are the servants of the human system; so all things which affect the system affect them too. Hands are the immediate servant of the brain.

It has been long known and recognized that the human hand can express as much by gesture and position as the lips and mouth can by speech. Hands can ask, invoke, promise, threaten, embrace, express fear, pity, joy, grief, doubts and they can also mark time..
