Politics

Age Of Obama: A Reporter's Journey With Clinton, Mccain & Obama 2008
Well known TV journalist Mark Curtis, lost his job but not his love of politics. So, he launched a new career as a freelance reporter and political analyst and decided to cover the campaign 2008, from coast-to-coast. The result is a "road trip" of a life time, starting with 15 candidates in frigid Iowa in January of 2008, and ending with an equally frigid Inauguration of President Obama in January of 2009. Along the way, we saw a titan primary fight between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, and a tough as nails comeback for John McCain. Curtis visited 32 states with the candidates! There are many personal stories of average Americans in this book. Instead of being an "inside baseball" look at politics, the author chose instead to interview many average Americans about their hopes and dreams for this historic election. There are lots of fun stories and stops along the way, including some great meals. Most of all its a very personal insight into one of the great political campaigns!

Common Sense - Revisited In The New Millennium
“Common Sense – Revisited in the New Millennium”, is an updated version of Thomas Paine’s ground-breaking work on rebellion. The book develops comparisons between the social, economic and political injustices of 21st century America and the circumstances of 1776 which led to the American Revolution. We, like our early American ancestors, are hard pressed to obtain effective political representation. Taxation without representation is still tyranny! Our country has been financially pillaged by a system that rewards greed, manipulation and systematic plunder at the expense of morality, dedication and hard work. The outsourcing of American jobs and the exportation of our industries are testaments to a flawed economic system. The import of foreign goods made possible by free trade agreements has wreaked financial hardship on millions of Americans. These elaborate hoaxes were developed by large corporations and sponsored by our fickle government.
